Classic Muscle Cars for sale and Classic Muscle Car Projects
The American public wanted new and original looks, a sports look and more options. Pre dating the Muscle Car era, just after World War II, the returning service men started to modify the existing cars into "Hot Rods" adding more power, speed and looks. Soon, shops open up to keep up with the "Hot Rod" desire. When the 1950's arrived, the auto manufacturers turned to producing sportier and more powerful cars with new and original designs.
The 1960's was the birth of the term "Muscle Cars". Big block cars like the 426 Hemi 'Cuda and 440 Road Runner and many others, was the era of power, speed and looks. Smaller block vehicles were also included in the "Muscle Car" term. The car manufacturers went head to head to outdo one another and they did!
